Halton Police are investigating after a man’s body was discovered floating in a river near a golf course in Milton.
Const. Ryan Anderson says the body was spotted by a golfer at Royal Ontario Golf Club, near Trafalgar and Britannia Roads, around 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Anderson says the body was removed from the river, connecting to Middle Sixteen Mile Creek.
The Halton Police Marine Unit, Peel Regional Police Marine Unit and Milton Fire confirmed the body to be that of a man.
It’s unclear how long the body was in the water or if it travelled down or up the stream. Anderson says investigators are still working to determine the man’s identity.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
